Bret Michaels In Critical Condition After “Massive” Brain Hemorrhage

Having just recovered from an emergency appendectomy earlier this month, TMZ reports that Poison frontman and VH1 personality Brett Michaels is now listed as being in critical condition after being rushed to a hospital late last night “after suffering a massive hemorrhage near his brain stem.” Prepare yourself now the fact that, over the weekend, most celebrity-based news stories you come across will start with the phrase “Poison frontman and VH1 personality” (too soon?).
According to a source of TMZ’s:
Michaels is reportedly in critical condition at an undisclosed hospital. According to the report, Michaels was suffering from excruciating headaches earlier in the day… The report claims it was determined Michaels suffered from a “subarachnoid hemorrhage” — bleeding at the base of his brain stem.
No word yet on how this will affect the concert dates rescheduled by his appendectomy earlier this month, nor is it entirely clear as to whether or not Michaels will survive this ordeal. The singer, in addition to the brain hemorrhage and appendix removal this month also suffers from Type 1 diabetes. This is a developing story, be sure to check back throughout the weekend. I remember when Poisen came out to LA and the parties on the roof top of their building. I was with CC and his girl as they were friends the first time he checked out Poisen at the Trubudor. He said the the singer was a star! He hoped he could be the new guitar player they were looking for and he was! My old friend Jennifer was at Warner Bro and helped them quite a bit. Those guys busted their butts and earned their fame. I hope he pulls through. Just lost my dad to the same. Lilee
