Stockholm Sweden’s Anders Wendin, originally of the band Monster, has taken all of his the light pieces of his heart along with the opposing grit onto a whole other level with his solo project, Moneybrother. Not only did his first solo album, Blood Panic, go on to win a Grammy award but he has successfully released three more albums under the moniker making it his best work to date. Now, we’re lucky enough to get his latest album, Real Control, out in the US.

There is no doubt that Wendin’s sound as Moneybrother is pure fun. Like throwing everything in the mix just to experiment and rebel at the same time, this singer-songwriter’s concoction of rock and roll, soul, reggae and pop is all poured into a tasty drink a la Bruce Springsteen style. There’s even a little disco sprinkled into his sound and if you’re wondering how he’s doing it, we couldn’t even tell you. All we know is that we’re impressed with the outcome and we’re gladly taking it all in. Wendin’s raspy vocals on top of great control over his boundaries of pop and rock make him one our BeatCrave Favs today. Check him out in our series below!
