Watch: Tom Cruise Performs Dance Number As Les Grossman With Jennifer Lopez

If you care at all about Twilight or Aziz Ansari, you may have tuned into the joke of an awards ceremony last night which was broadcast on MTV (the non-music television channel now). Yes, we’re talking about the MTV Movie Awards. It is the most ridiculous waste of two hours you could ever spend your life on but we had to tune in for the latter reason. Who doesn’t love Aziz Ansari?

Well, it turns out that Ansari could have been just a tad funnier to justify us taking part in last night’s tom foolery. We were a bit surprised by that but the biggest surprise was how many times we saw Tom Cruise!

He was EVERYWHERE. Not only did the show open up with him as his Tropic Thunder character, Les Grossman, giving advice to Rpattz and “Everyone loves me for my abs” boy, but he also came out to do a dance number himself when he was outraged by Ken Jeong and Ed Helms‘ “metaphor” dance.

Tom Cruise used to be a hottie during his Top Gun days but within the last decade he’s had some ups and down in regards to becoming an old, greasy, crazy man (We all jump on Oprah’s couch when we’re in love), but we gotta admit he’s definitely found his mojo again. He’s got a new film co-starring Cameron Diaz coming out soon – and those dance moves! Who knew Cruise could break it down like that? The only confusing part was when Jennifer Lopez joined him. Sure, she has a great dancing booty but she has absolutely nothing to promote. She was dropped by her label and her latest film, The Backup Plan, completely bombed at the box office.
