Chris Brown Cancels U.K. Tour After Being Refused Entry

Gosh, some guys just can’t catch a break, you know?

After complaining that some retail stores wouldn’t stock his latest record because of some sort of misunderstanding with his ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, Chris Brown’s unfortunate streak of bad luck continues, this time in the form of a pesky sovereign nation that frowns upon brutal domestic assault.  Can you believe it?

It seems the singer was all set to tour the United Kingdom this month, when U.K officials barred his entry into the country due to his five year probationary sentence for assault, according to NME.

According to the U.K. Home Office:

“We reserve the right to refuse entry to the UK to anyone guilty of a serious criminal offence. Public safety is one of our primary concerns… Each application to enter the UK is considered on its individual merits.”

Brown was set to play four dates in the United Kingdom, with tomorrow night at the Glasgow Academy being the kickoff date.

In all seriousness though, how cool is the U.K. now?  I’m totally done making fun of your awful, awful food and weather, U.K.  This was a stand-up move on your part.  Now, if you could just do the reverse the next time Miley Cyrus or Lady Gaga rolls through England, and just keep them from leaving, we Yanks would really appreciate it, jolly good.
