MGMT Goes Acoustic with New Videos

MGMT stopped by local Columbus, Ohio radio station CD101.1FM last week to play several acoustic tracks from their latest album, Congratulations.  Settling comfortably in “The Big Room,” an intimate set up the station has put in place to give listeners an informal, up close listen to their favorite artists, the boys gave a clean performance.

The two songs they pulled from their recently released album, “Song for Dan Treacy” and “Congratulations” were great, but the bonus cover of The Clean’s “Anything Could Happen”  was my favorite performance of the set. Not better than the original, but a good sound for the young and mighty MGMT.  Hey guys, if you’re listening, do more of that.

This Thursday, June 24th, MGMT will be performing on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and then crossing the pond for the ever awesome Glastonbury Festival.
