BeatCrave Presents: Wires in the Walls at Spaceland

We’ve got another treat for you BeatCrave readers! We’re getting back on the band wagon and bringing you some great shows this summer and our first is less than two weeks away. We’re very proud to present Wires in the Walls along with The Steelwells, Oh Darling and Wake up Lucid at Spaceland on July 8th.

A majority of these bands have been featured in our BeatCrave Fav series so it shouldn’t be a surprise when we say we’re very excited! It all goes down at 8:30 pm for ages 21 and up. Tickets are only $7 but are $5 if you RSVP ahead of time! Also, we’re giving tickets away! More info and the entire poster after the jump.

Los Angeles-based band Wires in the Walls bring us sounds that fuse alternative rock with a country twist with their tongue and cheek lyrics that come off poignant in the midst of their incredible instrumentation. They’ll be putting on another one of their shows that are seamless – once again, making it all seem effortless.

The Steelwells hail from Orange County but will seem quite at home in this lineup as their indie pop hooks that soar to just the right level of melodramatic which always result in beautiful, haunting, hits-your-soul music. “This Dance Is Out of Your Hands” will take on a whole new meaning when you hear them live.

Oh Darling, a four-piece, that is half testosterone and half estrogen, is slated to bring us quirky pop with hints of electronica nested in their drum and guitar rhythms. They’ll be bringing us tunes where the guitar can wail, vocal melodies are distinct and consists of moving feet that will foreshadow our own movements.

Rounding up our fantastic set of great Los Angeles acts will be Wake Up Lucid, a rock trio that is not afraid to get dirty with some gritty blues in their rock. Be prepared to hear the rawest of raw sets from this band as they have stripped themselves down of any pretense to make room for some major groove.

Remember to RSVP for $5 tickets. Otherwise, you can see this great roster next week for only $7. However, if you’re hoping to get lucky, you’ll get your chance!
