Kylie Minogue Joins Scissor Sisters For Glastonbury Show

Fans watching disco pop group Scissor Sisters rock the house Saturday night at the Glastonbury Festival were provided a big treat when famous-everywhere-but-America pop star Kylie Minogue made a surprise appearance with the Sisters on the Pyramid Stage.

Needless to say the place went absolutely bananas when the sexy Minogue walked from the wings wearing a black lace body suit and thigh-high boots. It was Minogue’s first time performing at the festival.

“For this next song we picked a lucky concertgoer to join us on stage and sing,” lead singer Ana Matronic said as an introduction to the song, “Any Which Way.”

After the five-minute performance, vocalist Jake Shears asked, “First time on the Glasto stage, babe, how’d it feel?”

The 42-year-old Minogue answered by giving him a big, sexy kiss on his lips. Then she kissed Matronic! Then it was madness! Two women kissing! Two women kissing!

According to NME, Shears initially got in touch with Minogue about the Glastonbury appearance via text.

“I texted her about five weeks ago – I just had the idea,” he said.

“I was pulling into an airport somewhere and it just popped into my head, and I sent her a text saying, ‘Do you want to do a song with us at Glasto?’, and two minutes later I got a text back with capital letters being like, ‘Hell yeah!’

We said Minogue’s performance with the Scissor Sisters was her first time at Glatonbury, but actually the singer was scheduled to perform in 2005 but had to cancel when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

But she beat the cancer and has been back with a vengeance. Her new album, Aphrodite, will be released in July followed by a tour in 2011.
