Imaad Wasif: BeatCrave Fav

With an endearingly eccentric post-rock, folk-infused sound style, Imaad Wasif has crept his way into our subconscious mind and won’t budge. Literally. Whether it’s a classic rock inspired tune we’re streaming, a music video of him against a shoreline, almost eye-less in a white mask, or him testing the limits of his diaphragm during a live show, Wasif has the audacity to blow the listener away with no regrets, no warning, no cushion.
Currently on tour with The New Pornographers and The Dodos, the Vancouver, B.C., native has worked outside the solo side of things with indie rock band Folk Implosion, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and most recently on the Where the Wild Things Are soundtrack. All of which, of course, are indelibly imprinted with his preferred style of hard, swirling, glittery, intense rock.
