Watch: Jack White Performs Mother Nature’s Son At White House
By Seraphina L.
Last month, we gave you a little snippet of how it all went down at the White House as Paul McCartney was honored with the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. We saw the joyous event that got President Obama, his wife, Jack White, Dave Grohl, Stevie Wonder and more up on their feet as they all sung along to the classic tune, “Hey Jude.”
Now, we’ve got another clip for you courtesy of PBS (via our buddies over at TwentyFourBit) which captures Jack White‘s performance of “Mother Nature’s Son.” How did his Beatles cover go in front of a Beatle? Watch his rendition after the jump!
The entire tribute concert will air on PBS next week on July 28 but for now watch this intimate and pretty successful – if we do say so ourselves – performance by Mr. Jack White. President Obama and Sir Paul McCartney were just sitting a few feet away (in the White House!) but the White Stripes/Dead Weather/Raconteurs musician seemed to keep his cool.
Check it out below and let us know what you think of his rendition of “Mother Nature’s Son” afterward!
What do you think of Jack White’s cover of a Beatles song for Obama, McCartney and the rest of the White House?

I hated it. Weird facial contortions while singing it, too high a voice, he needs to wash his hair.
