With much hype surrounding their latest release, Plastic Beach, Gorillaz have recently announced in a press release that they will definitely be traveling North American in support of the album. Coachella was great but it’s not the only place to land a show project of Blur‘s leading man, Damon Albarn. Starting on October 3rd, Gorillaz will be headlining a slew of cities and playing the new jams (and hopefully some classics) in a the tour they have dubbed as the “Escape To Plastic Beach” World Tour.

The details aren’t exactly set in stone yet as they haven’t officially announced all the cities and dates for the North American tour. However, we do know that the October 3rd show will take place in Montreal. New York City has also booked the band at Madison Square Garden on October 8th. There will be 20 dates altogether but until we have all the official dates, here are a few to tide you over via our friends over at Consequence of Sound below.

We have their last official summer date on July 25th but for now we’re forced to jump to dates in November and December after October 8th as they’ll be continuing the world tour over in Europe, New Zealand and Australia:
