Watch: Kanye West Performs New Songs At Facebook Office
By Seraphina L.
West is known for lavish, grand, fancy debuts. He’s got to back that ego up with some wow factor when he goes live. For instance, he premiered 808s and Hearbtreak‘s “Love Lockdown” at the MTV Movie Awards in a style only he could pull it off in. He’s coming out with a new album, which was titled Good Ass Job – until now. The rapper recently and officially joined Twitter and announced that he’s nixed the name and is currently “bouncing a couple of titles around now.”
So we don’t know the album name anymore but we do know this. Kanye took it down a notch this time around when he premiered some of the new material live for the first time. There weren’t any flashing lights. It wasn’t a live broadcast. It was very intimate… and it was at the Facebook office?
According to 2dopeboyz (via CoS), Kanye stopped by the offices of Facebook and gave the staff there an impromptu performance. He spits his rhymes a Capella though, so there are no beats. However, the crowd seems to love it anyway and Kanye continues to give them more with verses from the following songs: “Lost In The World,” “Chain Gang” and “Mama’s Boyfriend.”
We’re not sure why he’s decided debut this material in such a low key manner. However, Facebook is one of the biggest social networks in the world, so perhaps it was all a part of his plan for the news to spread pretty quick.
Kanye also wrote about the performance like the dedicated blogger that he is:
“Many times in life I’ve had to deal with moments of doubt. And as it’s been a minute since I’ve performed any fresh material in front of an audience, this could’ve been one of those moments… but it wasn’t. Your energy was a gift so electric, so genuine, that it really helped me give my best. The energy was so inspiring I had to keep going! I just hope you got as much from me as I got from you…which was everything!”

Kanye is an idiot. I'm not sure why people are even interested in the music he's putting out anymore, it's no longer relevant.
