Dawes is a folk rock band from North Hills, California. They released their debut album North Hills in 2009, full of poignant and husky vocals, string-picking, light drumming, and strategic keyboard. In a time when Fleet Floxes, Mumford & Sons, These United States and more are bringing back the honesty into music through their musical arrangements, you’d think it would be hard for another band to prove themselves just as worthy. Dawes has had no problem proving they’re  something worth to listen to. Fans flocked to their sets when they recently performed at Lollapalooza, Outside Lands and Sunset Junction.
