Here’s the thing about LA bands — most of them are amazing bands. That goes for Chasing Kings as well, who are an indie four-piece band from said city. They might be young and they might all be boys, but Chasing Kings could just be my favorite new band. They have the cool pop appeal of Coldplay, and the edge of the early Radiohead days.

Their debut EP “The Current State of Our Future” is filled with beautifully composed music that goes way beyond what would be considered a first EP. The songs go down smoothly, leaving behind a sweet aftertaste. You’ll want to get in bed with this EP — roll around your bed, smoke a cigarette and listen to it ’til you can’t any more.
