Jay-Z and Eminem have reunited once again. They said they were going to do it in a big way and that’s exactly what they last night. To kick off their “Home to Home” tour – a few select dates where they will perform four concerts together – they took over Detroit’s Comerica Park last night with guest appearances. According to Hip-Hop Wired, guests from the first show in Detroit included Memphis Bleek, Young Jeezy, 50 Cent and G-Unit. We’ve got some footage of the grand opening night below courtesy of RapRadar (via Hip-Hop Wired).

The next night of this mini yet massive tour will also be in Detroit on September 4th. B.o.B will also be opening again. However, for the last two tour dates, they’ll be taking themselves  a bit east to New York for Jay-Z’s hometown this time. Speaking of New York, we’ve also got some Jay-Z related new there.

Jay-Z’s not shy about collaborating with artists. With most emcees, a talented vocalist will most likely be paired with him or her for a catchy hook or chorus. For example… “Empire State of Mind,” his duet with the lovely Alicia Keys. The song topped the charts for weeks and according to Dime Wars, has even replaced Frank Sinatra‘s “New York, New York” as the Big Apple’s theme song. (We applaud the city for being current but that’s a little sad. Come on! It’s Sinatra!)

The word on the street that it not only costs half a million to  use just a few seconds of it on TV, but that Fox also isn’t afraid of that steep price when it comes to their hit show, Glee. Dime Wars is also reporting that the premiere episode of Glee will be focused on ‘Empire State of Mind.” Of course, Jay-Z and Alicia won’t be seen anywhere in the show but who’s going to perform the number? W admit Glee our my guilty pleasure but is it going to be another cheesy performance along the likes of their rendition of “Gold Digger?”

If any of you caught the Emmys, maybe that wave Glee star Lea Michele got from Jay-Z (sitting next to his wife, Beyoncé) was all the show needed to secure their licensing quest!
