The photo above depicts one of the most humiliating experiences for both the big-headed rapper, Kanye West, and Country pop princess, Taylor Swift. Even if you chose not to watch the MTV Video Music Awards last year, the news about West’s impulsive decision to run up on stage and interrupt Swift during her win crept into every nook and cranny of the internet. The now infamous phrase “I’ma let you finish but…” is still a joke a year later. However, Mr. West’s guilt still hasn’t subsided.

According to CNN’s The Marquee Blog and numerous tweets from Kanye West, the rapper’s guts still haven’t claimed redemption. Although there was supposedly an apologetic call made to Swift, he’s still begging the young singer-songwriter to forgive him. All these emotions we thought West had gotten over were apparently being bottled up inside him which eventually yielded in a large block of excessive tweets about the incident:

The first issue he addressed was the race issue. He insisted that it had nothing do with color but rather entirely on passion:

“I watched Justin Timberlake at the Grammies loose every televised award including album of the year which the Dixie Chicks won [...] I would have ran on stage for Justin that night because Sexy Back (in my mind) was that important… that impactful to our culture. [...] It’s not about race America.”

Even though we discussed our thoughts on Swift’s credibility as a performer, it wasn’t hard to compare the then 19-year-old to the delicate Disney doe, Bambi.  With “teen” still in her age, a young child was certainly in shock. West also reiterated how unfair his attack on her was:

“She had nothing to do with my issues with award shows. She had no idea what hit her. She’s justa lil girl with dreams like the rest of us. [...] She deserves the apology more than anyone.”

He then continued to explain how he was going to offer his ultimate apology:

“I wrote a song for Taylor Swift that’s so beautiful and I want her to have it. If she won’t take it then I’ll perform it for her.”

Although West also claimed how Swift “LOVES RAP MUSIC” and that he loves country music, we’re not too sure she’ll actually take the song. This may all be old news but like a line of dominoes, the industry has repeatedly shunned West in some sort of way within the last year. We’re not giving him any sympathy for his actions, but we do believe he’s learned his lessons with some harsh consequences. West has even likened himself to the character, Elphaba, in Wicked, a musical which tells the other side of the story when it comes to the Wicked Witch of the West.

It’s also hard to decide which will most likely happen – Swift accepting the song or this resolution of West’s:

“I’m ready to get out of my own way. The ego is overdone… it’s like hoodies.”

Sigh… What do you think of Kane West’s attempt to apologize to Taylor Swift?

Sigh. Allow me to answer that question with something that is equally overdone, rap song quotes.

"Now all I need is y'all to pronounce my name/ It's Kanye, but some of my plastic still say Kane"
