The 27 Club: Death of a Rockstar (Infographic)
By aaronpylinskiThere is some debate as to the criterion used to include musicians who died at the age of 27 in “The 27 Club”. The impetus for the informal club’s creation were the deaths of a seemingly unusual number of 27-year-old musicians in a two-year period of time. The list includes (but is not limited to): Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, and Kurt Cobain. While rockstardom is cool, death by asphyxiating on your own vomit isn’t. If you’re going to overdo it, at least make sure you have term life insurance for those you’ll leave behind.

This poster needs Robert Johnson, he was the father of the blues who sold his soul to the devil and STARTED THE 27 CLUB. The whole folklore of the 27 club is that when Johnson sold his soul the consequence was that he and his greatest progenies were cursed to die at 27. I like the poster though even if Morrison's face is a bit fucked

Funny stuff – My girlfriend gave me The 27s last year for Christmas. By far the coolest thing I've read or seen on the 27 club. Haven't seen the movie – worth seeing?
