The New Regime: BeatCrave Fav

Twenty-two year old Ilan Rubin – drummer, guitarist, vocalist, all-else percussionist, and anything else you can think of – is the one and only behind solo project The New Regime. The Nine Inch Nails drummer calls this a “true solo project” and we can hardly disagree with him. Working with a multi-layered sound, the best way to audibly describe what Rubin has been able to accomplish is best seen in the music video for “Remission of Guilt” (scroll down for a look-see). The one-man band take has always appealed to us, but for some reason there’s something ultimately fresh and inspiring in the way Rubin dispenses his efforts and energies, transforming them into edgy, electric-feel rock.
