Ed Ondo is a group of five friends from Brasil who know how to rock. Singles like “Be a Freak” and “My Suicide” are hard-hitting, and these guys have the talent to back it up. A 90s rock-era feel characterizes their music, and their live performances contain a connection that belies the energy and interconnectedness of the group, extending that emotion to their audience. Their emotion-wrought lyrics are worth listening to alone, encountering themes of suicide, anger, and self-searching. Their ballad “Hear the Sound” is anthem-worthy, with music that’s driving from the beginning and prompts us to “live a melody.”
