Lil Wayne Injured At St. Louis Skateboard ParkBy Travis Woods
Lil Wayne (a.k.a. Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr.) went and had an accident over the weekend—which usually happens when a guy approaching 30 starts skateboarding like a 15 year old, as it turns out that the rapper was injured at a skateboard park on Sunday night.
According to the AP, Lil Wayne “was in suburban St. Louis Sunday for a performance at the outdoor Verizon Amphitheatre” and local news began reporting on Sunday night that Wayne, accompanied by a sizable entourage, showed up at DePaul Health Center’s emergency room.
While DePaul Health Center’s spokesperson would not comment on the situation due to privacy laws, Lil Wayne explained things on his Twitter account:
“The Lou was good but I busted my … head at the sk8park! 9stitches! Gnarly gash over my left eye! Luv the people,” he wrote.
According to the AP, specific details as to how Lil Wayne was hurt were not made clear, though the fact that he was at a skateboard park seems to make it fairly obvious.
Lil Wayne’s next album, The Carter IV, will be available in stores on August 29.
What do you think of Lil Wayne’s injury? Do you think he got it skateboarding?
