We Are Hex: BeatCrave Fav

Every now and then we refer to a specific style of music as something we’ve never heard before. Indianapolis, Indiana-based experimental rock group We Are Hex has taken that reference and applied it a million times over to their brand of rock, which is an overall cross between indie and exploratory sounds. Having formed in April 2008, the self-referenced chaos rock troupe lifts inspirations and comparisons from and to such acts as Jesus and Mary Chain and The Cure – quirky but structured rock that requires more than surface attention. Smart rock with enough edge to weed out the poseurs, We Are Hex’s daring and gall to rock their style is all we need to bob along enthusiastically. Their latest full-length, Hail The Goer, was released last year, and they’ll be playing a number of shows in North America this September – until you can catch them at a venue near you, be sure to check them out in our BeatCrave Fav series below!
