The Winter Sounds: BeatCrave Fav

The Winter Sounds–that name has a nice ring to it. This five-piece band has gone through a lot of changes since its inception in 2006. Patrick Keenan, who still heads the indie rock band, started off with a different group of people in Athens, Georgia. But change is good. Now, The Winter Sounds are ready to start a tour across the country and share their wonderful sound with the world. To put it simply, this band reminds me of Passion Pit. They are a nice blend of rock and indie music, also with a bit of pop-punk. We’ve also got Patrick’s powerful yet soft vocals and a female violinist (who you can watch play in the first video below, she looks wild). When you throw all these things together, you get The Winter Sounds. They’ve got a great little sound that’s easy to listen to and follow. You’ll be humming along in no time. Check them out in our BeatCrave Fav series below. You won’t be disappointed.
