Wyclef Jean Announces His Support For Sarah Palin

Because he probably thought it would fun to make the heads of at least 50% of his fanbase literally explode of off the tops of their necks, Fugees rapper, political activist, and failed Haitian presidential candidate Wyclef Jean came out today in support of… deep breath… Sarah Palin.

This, according to Rolling Stone:

“I am a huge fan of Sarah Palin,” Jean told Womens Wear Daily at a party for the Donna Karan Collection in New York. “She’s rad. She’s shrewd. She’s cool. Because at the end of the day, I’m for the people, because this is the United States of America. This is what America’s really about. Anyone should have the right to say, ‘Look, I can do the job, and this is what qualifies me to do the job.’”

Hang on just a second—literally, my head did explode, and so I’m typing this sucker without a set of eyes, or even conscious thought, and my body is just robotically jamming down buttons on the keyboard.  And what does that have to do with anything, Beatcrave readers?  Nothing, nothing at all.  Because, as an objective writer of entertainment news, I’d never insert a subjective parallel indicating that to support someone like Sarah Palin, you’d literally have to be without a set of eyes, or even a conscious though, and would simply be robotically jammping a button in a ballot box.  I’d never do that.  Anyway, remember when Wyclef was cool?
