This week indie bands Passion Pit and Cat Power announced release dates for their upcoming records; while veteran rapper Nas announced the release date for his 10th album Life is Good.   • Indie Releases: This week, indie bands Passion Pit and Cat Power announced release dates for their new full-length records. Passion Pit will follow their 2009 debut Manner with Gossamer, due out on July 24th; and Cat Power, a.k.a. Chan Marshall, will drop Sun on September 11th.
  • Life Is Good: Nas is getting ready to release his 10th album Life is Good. Def Jam Records announced this week that his new album will be dropping on July 17th.
  • Jack White Gets A New Job: Jack White has signed on to compose the score for Walt Disney Pictures’ The Lone Ranger. According to Billboard, White will write, produce and perform the score for director Gore Verbinski’s movie adaptation. 
  • “Blue Jeans” Remix: And lastly, we have a treat from Azealia Banks. This week, Vulture posted a remix of Lana Del Rey‘s “Blue Jeans” by Banks. Check it out below:
