This week, Madonna took a stand for the political girl group Pussy Riot during a live show in Moscow. Drake announced that he would be co-producing Aaliyah‘s posthumous record, which will be released later this year. And Mumford & Sons debuted the first track off of their upcoming record Babel.   • New Mumford & Sons Song: Mumford & Sons have released their first official track titled “I Will Wait” from the upcoming sophomore album Babel. The band debuted the song on Radio 1 earlier this week. You can listen to the song and check out the tracklisting for the record over at NME.
  • Watch the Throne Documentary: A documentary showing behind-the-scenes footage of the making of Jay-Z and Kanye West‘s collaboration album Watch The Throne has hit the web. The documentary was shot mainly on flip cameras, and features cameos by Beyonce and Russell Crowe. Watch the video at NME.
  • Drake & Aaliyah Collaboration: Drake and Aaliyah are collaborating on an album. Wait, what? Isn’t she…? Yes, but this is Drake we’re talking about so listen up. Drake will co-produce Aaliyah’s posthumous album and Timbaland and Missy Elliot will be involved. The R&B’s singer label Blackground Records confirmed the project and hopes to release the album by the end of this year. Source: Rolling Stone
  • Madonna Speaks Up For Pussy Riot: Madonna is the latest celebrity to speak up on behalf of the the Russian feminist punk band Pussy Riot. During a show in Moscow, Madonna took some time to give a lengthy speech about the three girls who were arrested after illegally performing at Moscow’s Cathedral of Christ the Savior in March. The singer called them “courageous” and said they “[deserved] the right to be free.” Check out the clip below:
