For those of you hoping to catch Frank Ocean in Europe, you’re in for some bad news. Ocean has cancelled 15 European dates, including a stadium tour with Coldplay. Read his apology below.

On Friday, while performing at the Oya Festival in Norway, Ocean ended his performance after four short songs. Apparently, the singer lost his voice and was unable to continue with the show.

This weekend, the Way Out West Festival website posted a statement saying that Ocean would no longer be performing at the event. The singer included his own statement, apologizing for the abrupt cancellation. Here’s what he said:

“Let me start by saying I feel like an asshole right now, but a tough decision had to be made in regard to my schedule over the next months and the casualties of that decision include my appearance at upcoming festivals in Europe and my opening slot on the European leg of the Coldplay world tour. Sorry as f***, I’ll be back if you’ll have me.”

According to Rolling Stone, Ocean has also canceled appearances at Flow Festival, Pukkelpop, V Festival and Bestival.

Ocean’s reason for cutting the Oya Festival performance short was that he was having vocal problems, but it’s still not clear whether the European tour cancellation is also for that same reason.

Now we’re left to wonder which other act Coldplay will add to their world tour. We’ll be sure to keep you in the loop.

Did you have plans to see Frank Ocean? Who should Coldplay select as their new opening act?
