Neil Young And Crazy Horse Reveal ‘Psychedelic Pill’ Release Date And Tracklist
By Laura AguirreNeil Young and Crazy Horse have revealed the release date for their upcoming album Psychedelic Pill. The followup to their folk covers record Americana will hit stores on October 30. This will be the first album of original material by Young and Crazy Horse since 1996′s Broken Arrow.
Psychedelic Pill was produced by Neil Young with long time collaborator John Hanlon, and Mark Humpreys. The record will be made available in double-CD and triple-LP formats. The latter will be released on November 23rd.
The tracklist includes a few lengthy songs, with the longest going on for nearly 28 minutes (song title “Driftin’ Back”). There’s also two versions of the title track included.
Young and Crazy Horse are hitting the road in October to support the record. It’ll kick off on October 3rd at the WFCU Center in Windsor, Ontario and come to an end on December 4th at the Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Their tour includes stops in Austin, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Toronto, New York and Brooklyn. They’ll also make a stop at Young’s annual Bridge School Benefit on Oct. 20. Bands like The Flaming Lips, Jack White and Guns N’ Roses will join them at said concert.
