Prince And Lady Gaga May Contribute To ‘The Great Gatsby’ Soundtrack
By Travis Woods
It appears that director Baz Luhrmann is taking the slight release-date delay in the release of his ludicrously 3-D adaptation of The Great Gatsby, by expanding the film’s soundtrack. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire in the story that is often viewed as the great American novel, one would expect a majestic, haunting musical accompaniment to soundtrack its tale of lost lives in the roaring 1920s, right? So who does Lurhmann have in mind? Lady Gaga, of course.
Yes, Lady Gaga, long known as author F. Scott Fitzgerald’s favorite singer, may be joining the likes of Prince on the soundtrack to the 3-D film, according to The Great Gatsby co-star Adelaide Clemons.
Clemons, during a recent interview with Indiewire, noted that “some pretty huge artists have approached Baz and are writing songs for the film.” While she wouldn’t specifically say who, she pretty much dispelled any ambiguity by adding that “I don’t think Warner Bros. are going to turn down Prince and Lady Gaga knocking down your door.”
Of course, Clemons refused to confirm any of this, but the actress did all but admit that the Funky One and the Gags are both eager to bring their tunes to Fitzgerald’s classic tale. Of course, we’ll have to wait until much closer to the film’s May 10, 2013 to know for sure.
What do you think of the Prince and Lady Gaga news?

Not entirely thrilled about Prince and Lady Gaga, but I am entirely excited for The Great Gatsby to come out.
