For fans of The Rolling Stones, Christmas is coming early. The iconic band added a third show to their U.S. 50 and Counting tour. They will be performing at the newly built Barclays Center in Brooklyn on December 8, 2012.
The Rolling Stones also announced the official release of their 50th anniversary greatest hits compilation Grrr!, which features a total of 50 classic tracks. The compilation is available in four formats – a 50 track – 3 CD album, a 50 track – 3CD deluxe edition, an 80 track super deluxe edition box set and a 12” vinyl box set. You can head over to The Rolling Stones website for more details.
The newly-added show will be The Stones’ third show in their celebratory tour. They will first play two shows at the O2 in London. Despite the costly ticket prices, both shows are completely sold out. The band will also hit New Jersey for two concerts on December 13 and 15. The last show will be televised live at 9 p.m.
Tickets for the Brooklyn show go on sale this coming Monday, November 19 at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster, and as we’ve discussed before, range anywhere in between $99.50 – $754.50, before fees.
It looks like The Stones are fully committed to these 50th anniversary events and they are making the most of it, whether you can afford to go to the shows or not is a whole different story.
