Morrissey la 6 19 12 News Roundup: Morrissey Cancels U.S. Tour, The Strokes Release New Music Video, And More

Morrissey has cancelled all of the remaining dates on his current U.S. tour. Despite what you may think, the cancellation has nothing to do with rhinos or Beyonce‘s handbags; he’s just need to take a break. Also, The Strokes released a new music video for one of the songs off their upcoming record. And Yahoo! announced a brand new festival that’ll feature some pretty big names in hip hop.

  • Morrissey Cancels Tour: Morrissey has cancelled his entire U.S. tour. He’s citing medical reasons. Earlier this week, the singer was forced to postpone a San Francisco gig because he had to be treated for pneumonia. There’s still a lot of dates left on the tour, and as far as we know, this is an official cancellation. He’s no postponing dates this time around. Source: Spin
  • Next Foo Fighters Record Will Be Different: Dave Grohl is currently at SXSW, showing his documentary Sound City: Real to Reel. Billboard was able to catch him and ask him a few questions about the Foo Fighter‘s next album. Grohl said that the band is just writing right now. He added that the record “won’t be conventional,” and that he had “a crazy idea of what [he] wanted to do with the next record and how [they] record.”
  • New Strokes Music Video: The Strokes have released a new video for their single “All The Time,” which is off their forthcoming album Comedown Machine. The video is made up of archive footage taken from previous music videos and backstage clips. Their album is out March 25th. Here’s the video:
