Lady Gaga has had a pretty quite year thus far. It’s seems like forever since we’ve seen a headline mentioning the pop singer, or even a photograph of her in one of her many outrageous outfits. But Gaga is not done with music just yet. She has announced that she’ll be releasing ARTPOP this fall and will be accompanied with an app.
Gaga’s third album will drop Nov. 11 alongside an app that is “a musical and visual engineering system that combines music, art, fashion and technology.”
In a statement published on Gaga’s Facebook, it was revealed that ARTPOP “musically mirrors Gaga’s creative process as she passes through the medium of each artist she collaborates with, scoring a blueprint on her journey.”
Earlier this year, the pop diva had to cancel her Born This Way Ball tour due to an injured hip. 22 shows were canceled, forcing the refund of roughly 200,000 tickets worth about $25 million in gross ticket sales. It’s still too early to tell if she’ll embark on a world tour to support ARTPOP, but word is that Lady Gaga will return to the stage this September for the iTunes Festival at the refurbished Camden Roundhouse in London.
Before ARTPOP hits stores in the fall, a single will arrive on Aug. 19. But feel free to start preordering the new album on Sept. 1.
