Kanye West and Jimmy Kimmel will face each other today (October 9) for the first time since their supposed Twitter feud. If you recall (how could you not really), West gave the interview of a lifetime to BBC 1 radio host Zane Lowe, and Kimmel wrongly decided to poke fun at it by having children re-enact some of the more memorable moments of the sit-down session. As you might imagine, West was furious. And so it goes.
So, two weeks after Kanye lashed out at Kimmel on Twitter, the rapper will appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight. Will they bury the hatchet? Probably.
For those of you that will be tuning in, here’s a little more background on the feud. West was furious after a sketch in which the late-night host spoofed West’s hour-long interview Lowe. West tweeted:
“JIMMY KIMMEL IS OUT OF LINE TO TRY AND SPOOF IN ANY WAY THE FIRST PIECE OF HONEST MEDIA IN YEARS,” West posted. “JIMMY KIMMEL, I DON’T TAKE IT AS A JOKE…. YOU DON’T HAVE SCUM BAGS HOPPING OVER FENCES TRYING TO TAKE PICTURES OF YOUR DAUGHTER.”
Many have speculated that the feud was fake. But, honestly, West isn’t one to play along. He’s a sensitive guy, and he was right to be upset at the goofy sketch. His interview with Lowe was honest and we rarely get that with artists. Will he get an apology from Kimmel? You’ll have to tune in tonight and see.
Jimmy Kimmel Live will air at 10:35 PM on ABC.
Do you think the Twitter feud was fake?
