The Foo Fighters are heading back to the stage. After going on hiatus last year, the band is set to perform together in Mexico City next month (December). More details on that below. Also, Lady Gaga will host SNL for the first time ever. All that and more below.
- Beck Set To Release New Record: Beck will release a new record, Morning Phase, next February. The record is said to be a “companion piece of sorts” to Beck’s 2002 album, Sea Change. According to A.V. Club, Morning Phase “attempts to recapture the harmonies and emotions from Sea Change, while sunning up the joint with some additional optimism.”
- Lady Gaga Will Host SNL: Lady Gaga is set to host Saturday Night Live on Saturday, Nov. 16. The pop star will also be that night’s musical guest. This is the first time Gaga will host the show and third time appearing as musical guest.
- Foo Fighters Heading Back To The Stage: The Foo Fighters will return to the stage next month. The band is heading to Mexico City in December for their first full concert since Dave Grohl announced a hiatus in 2012. According to the band’s website, Foo Fighters will perform December 13th at the Foro Sol stadium, with the National opening. Last October, Grohl revealed that the band would be taking a break, saying “I’m not sure when the Foo Fighters are going to play again,” he said in a statement at the time. “It feels strange to say that, but it’s a good thing for all of us to go away for a while.”
