Outkast has revealed plans of an extensive festival tour that will follow their stint at Coachella in April. The duo will be playing over 40 festivals worldwide. The list of dates has yet to be revealed so stay tuned.

In a statement, Big Boi announced that “It’s truly an honor to celebrate 20 years and still be free to do music the way we choose. I’m looking forward to rocking the stage with my Bro Ski and to all the fans, stank you smelly much. This is for y’all!”

Andre 3000 continued by saying:

“And imagine, all we wanted to do was rap. I am thankful to have been a part of a group that allowed me to explore anything that came to mind and have fun doing it. Returning to the stage together is the most exciting way for us to thank everyone for their 20 years of supporting Outkast.”

The rumors that OutKast would be reuniting at Coachella surfaced back in November. André 3000 was very secretive about everything. Back in 2012, he told Rolling Stone that “things are kind of up in the air with me. I don’t know the future of music right now. I have no idea what I do. I honestly don’t.”

Another piece of news concerning the famous duo is that they have a new album in the works. The group’s former manager, Queen Latifah, told Howard Stern on his radio show that “They’re chillding, they’re doing their thing. They’re doing movies and they’re about to work on a new album.” It looks like 2014 is going to be a big year for OutKast.
