Seeing as how 2014 marks the 20th anniversary of OutKast and their debut album, Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, and the fact that the hip hop duo has reunited for a string of 40 festival tour dates in 2014, you’d be forgiven for assuming that Big Boi and Andre 3000 would be bringing a new album with them as well.  You would also be wrong.

As it stands, OutKast will be a live act only from here on out—at least, according to Big Boi in a recent interview.

“It’s the 20 year anniversary of OutKast and we’re here to give it to ‘em…We’re just doing the tour only. Just for the fans. That’s all it is, a tour…I got a solo record I’m working on, but this is the OutKast 20th-year anniversary — just a way for us to celebrate with our fans, but no album in the works.”

So don’t expect a bevy of new OutKast jams in 2014—just be happy you’re hearing them at all.

In the meantime, you can enjoy some new Big Boi tracks on Catch the Throne, an upcoming mixtape that also features Common and others, and revolves around the HBO series Game of Thrones.
