Adam Lambert New Years Eve

Since life is a cruel and meaningless expanse of brutal, random happenstance, it was announced today that classic rockers Queen will launch a new tour… with American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert replacing Freddie Mercury, one of the greatest rock ‘n roll frontmen of all time.  Somehow, this is a thing.

That’s right, remaining Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor will be joined by a mediocre American Idol runner-up, who will replace Mercury who passed away in 1991.  So hey, if you want to see a cruel farce of brilliant classic rock act, check out the Queen with Adam Lambert tour dates below, via The AV Club.
