This week, the Smashing Pumpkins revealed that they are prepping two new albums, both of which will be released in 2015. Also, writer/director/actress Lena Dunham has taken her first foray into directing music videos. Her boyfriend, musician Jack Antonoff (from Fun.), released his side project’s first single and asked Dunham to helm the video. All that and more below.

  • Smashing Pumpkins Releasing 2 Albums In 2015: The Smashing Pumpkins plan to release two new album in 2015, Monuments To An Elegy and Day For Night. Frontman Billy Corgan wrote on the band’s website (via Rolling Stone), that the sound will be “guitars, guitars, guitars, and more guitars… but more so on the epic side of things than, say, grossly metallic.” Corgan also revealed that most of the songs have already been written and are ready to go.
  • The Monkees Announce Tour: The remaining members of the Monkees are going on tour. The band has announced a 14-date U.S. tour that’ll begin May 22nd at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom. The band will also hit New York, Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. Here’s the full set of dates:

  • The Black Keys Offer New Single: The Black Keys will soon release a new album titled Turn Blue. Mike Tyson, off all people, was the first to tease the duo’s new record via Twitter. Turn Blue is due out May 13, and now, the very first single, titled “Fever,” has hit the web. Check it out:

  • Bleachers Release Music Video Directed By Lena Dunham: Fun.’s Jack Antonoff has released the very first music video from his side project Bleachers. Directed by his girlfriend, writer/director/actress Lena Dunham, the video to “I Wanna Get Better” tells the story of a young therapist (Antonoff) who gets dumped by his girlfriend one morning. Later that day, he heads to work and has to deal with the problems of his bizarre clients. Bleachers’ debut album is set for released later this spring. Check out the video:
