Some sad news. According to the coroners’s report, Wilco’s former guitarist, Jay Bennett, died of an accidental drug overdose.
The coroner declared that the 45-year-old multi-instrumentalist died from an overdose of fentanyl, a drug that is commonly prescribed to treat chronic pain after surgeries. The drugs is approximately 100 times more potent than morphine. All signs point to the death being an accident and not a suicide.

Check out the new video for “21 Guns” the second single from Greenday’s latest album “21st Century Breakdown,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, as well as on the Rock, Active Rock, and Alternative charts. The video is you standard hot girl, hot boy, can’t get along and somehow end up making out while the band performs in their room in an alternate universe where feathers fall from the ceiling.

The members of Metric have recently finished recording their new album, Fantasies, from a farmhouse recording studio outside of Seattle, Washington. The album will be the centerpiece of a full concert by the band that they will be performing live for a webcast on NPR.org, tonight, June 18. The performance, from Washington, D.C.’s 9:30 Club, will begin streaming online at approximately 10 p.m. ET.

Karin Dreijer’s of Fever Ray who was selected as one of our BeatCrave Favs has put together another trippy, creepy, and beautiful video for her new single “Triangle Walks.” Just like in her music video for “When I Grow Up” we see Dreijer’s with her face painted, surrounded by cold and eerie images. Ist’ kind of reminds me of Bjork mixed with the film The Cell.

Day one of the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival was somewhat of a dampened debacle.
As I set up my camp site, I could hear festival openers Alberta Cross, MURS and Hockey sneaking in solid sets before the rain hit, but once the onslaught of quarter-sized raindrops ensued, chaos ensued.
Both entrances from the campgrounds to the fest were backed up with 2-hour-long lines of disgruntled, drenched fans. Halfway through my wait, I received a call from a fellow camp mate that our tent was flooding… ugh.
