Listen Ryan Adams and The Cardinals Destoyer Listen: Ryan Adams and The Cardinals Destroyers

After Ryan Adams performed on stage with his wife after an 18-month long hiatus, he’s recently brought some more joyful news to his fans.  At the beginning of the month, he finally revealed the details for the long-awaited Cardinals III/IV albums. Slated to be released on his personal imprint, PAX-AM Records, the collection of 21 tracks will be out in stores digitally and physically – on CD and double vinyl.

Unfortunately just based on the pre-order demands (which begin on November 23rd), the CD is already sold out so you can get your hopes up of owning the vinyl as of right now. If that bums you out, at least we have a goody for you this happy Friday. We’ve got a full track of one of the songs! Not a sample – but the entire song. Listen to it below!

Girl Talk Releases New Album For Free Again Girl Talk Releases New Album For Free Online (Again)

Renowned mashup artist, Girl Talk (aka biomedical engineering nerd Gregg Gillis before he gave up health insurance) released his latest and fifth album, All Day, online for free today. The free part is not a surprise since Gillis also released his previous album, Feed the Animals, for basically free.

However, this time you can just head on over to his labels site, Illegal Art, and click on the a link to download the album. There are no multiple choice questions about your reasons for paying $0. You simply just have to decide if you want to download the album with all the tracks as separate mp3s or as one entire stream. Gillis states that he intended that All Day be listened to as a whole but he did divide individual tracks for easier navigation – which makes sense with our ADD-one track music purchasers these days. More details below!

Listen: Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance Gets Covered By Klaxons

Lady Gagas Bad Romance Gets Covered By Klaxons Listen: Lady Gagas Bad Romance Gets Covered By Klaxons

It’s a well known fact that Lady Gaga is beyond out of control. Not only has she been causing a some more drama around the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy lately but now we begrudgingly report that her meat-dress from the VMAs is now being turned into “jerky.” Gross? Yes. How? According to the NY Daily News, the designer of Lady Gaga’s infamous meat-dress says that he will “archive the dress for posterity.” I suppose people take their own routes to make their personal accomplishments stand out more, but am I right when I say most of us could care less?

What we do care about are bands putting a fresh spin on songs that have been beating us over the head all year long. Enter, British new wave alternative rock band, Klaxons. Although we’ve heard plenty of “Bad Romance” covers, the trio’s naked, live take done in Australia for the radio program, Like A Version, is a little spookier and a bit more organic than any other renditions we’ve heard. Take a listen to it below!

Listen Sufjan Stevens Releases Brand New EP All Delighted People Listen: Sufjan Stevens Releases Brand New EP, All Delighted People

Holy crap! Sufjan Stevens has finally released a collection of songs with entirely new material! The critically acclaimed indie pop singer-songwriter has been teasing us with The BQE, Music For Insomnia (which was basically background music), or Run Rabbit Run (which was just renditions of his other songs), “All Delighted People,” is eight tracks long. Yes, it’s an EP but two of these tracks are over 11 minutes long and the collection of dreamy soundscapes is nearly an hour in its entirety.

The oddest part about this? There was no warning of this gorgeousness coming our way. Thank you, bandcamp! You can take a listen to the entire EP after the jump!

Free MP3: Bulletproof – Hyper Crush Remix

hyper crush5 20 10 Free MP3: Bulletproof Hyper Crush Remix

The always remixing Hyper Crush are back with their take on La Roux’s smash hit Bulletproof. Mixing it up a bit with their own signature style, they’ve come up with an interesting twist on the well known track. It’s a bit pop-y and upbeat for me (at least while sitting behind a desk working on my monitor tan), but easily could be played in a club to get people moving. They also released a new music video for you to check out with neon, breakdancers and a Delorean – and according to them “yes, THAT car from Back To The Future.”

Check it out below…

Listen Interpol Returns With Listen Listen: Interpol Return With Lights

Interpol is working on a fourth studio album after what seemed like a long hiatus enough for us to forget we loved them so much back in 2002 with Turn On the Bright Lights. With vocalist  Paul Blanks donning the Julian Plenti moniker and drummer Sam Fogarino becoming one half of Magnetic Morning (formerly The Setting Suns), we’re really thankful the group is back together.

The album is still untitled but we do finally have a song from the band. “Lights” is a track which deserves to be  played into every one’s ears as it has all the right elements to a mini-comeback song. It’s dark, bare and mysterious to start out with but gradually builds up into the the powerful chorus backed by some major guitar work – all coming off as something magnificent. Music in 2010 just got this much better, folks.
