Marquee Nightclub in the Cosmopolitan Hotel of Las Vegas celebrated its one year anniversary this past Tuesday with cake, snow, and AVICII.
Marquee’s official mascot, Mr. Q, donned white headphones, sunglasses, and a white tie and threw glow sticks, wristbands, and T-shirts into the crowd. AVICII himself was warmly welcomed with confetti, dollar bills, and napkins that flew from all corners of the club. He played to a sold out crowd and a dance floor that was closed an hour after it opened.

A catalogue of the five musical moments that pleased us the most in 2012, our list contains such news items as a major pop band’s hiatus (thank God it finally happened), a rock ‘n roll idol ending months of rumors that he may be retiring by announcing a new tour, the announcement that someone was a “Douchebag,” a surprise baby-daddy announcement, and more. It was a weird year for music, but these five items gave us something to be thankful for.
