Although she has an older video of “Thinking of You” they decided to up the budget, the attire, the quality, and make a NEW video for the same song.
I think I prefer sexy, showy Katy Perry to serious Katy Perry. Perry walks the line between Indie and Pop all the time, but in this song she is far too Pop-y for me. All I can think of about when I watch this video, is that horrible N’SYNC WWII video from years ago. Does anyone remember that one? What was it called?
Check out the new video here and then compare it to the old video below…
Red Cortez has just posted a video for the previously unreleased song “End Of An Error” on their website. The song was featured by Red Cortez’ in recent sets opening for Little Joy. You can download the song for free here.
Below is their video for “End of An Error,” Directed by Leah McKissock with cinematography by H. Scott Roth. The video is a puppet show featuring handmade dolls of the band members interspersed with live footage of Red Cortez performing. It’s a fun little ride, with some good music to boot.
How many of you woke up this morning and thought, “I’m just dying to hear the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain play me the song Shaft”? Well don’t worry. We’ve got you covered.
Check out this video below. In case you think it’s just an instrumental, it’s not, just you wait…
Amazing Baby has released a new video for their track “Head Dress,” the MGMT-esque video is pretty fun to watch whether you’re an Amazing Baby fan or not. While I don’t think this track is as good as their last video release, the video is much better.
If you’re a fan of the track you can download the entire EP from the band entitled “Infinite Fucking Cross” for free, that’s right FREE here.
Smiths’ frontman Morrissey has finally picked a U.S label ultimately deciding on Lost Highway (the same label as Americana artists like Johnny Cash, Lucinda Williams, and Willie Nelson). The album is all set to release Morrissey’s upcoming album Years of Refusal on February 17th of next year, one day AFTER Decca/Polydor releases the disc in the UK.
In support of the new album (and to show off his shiny new US label) Morrissey has quite the extensive world tour lined up from February to July of next year. Check out all the dates after the break:
Last week we posted the MP3/Download for MIA and A.R. Rahman’s track “O Soya” from Danny Boyle’s amazing new film Slumdog Millionaire. Just released is a music video for MIA’s Paper Planes remix with clips from the film.
Yeap, there’s more than one Baron Cohen out their causing trouble. Erran, Sacha Baron Cohen’s brother is about to release his album “Songs In The Key Of Hanukkah” to give a modern take on some old fashioned songs and celebrate the start of (duh) Hanukkah.
I love that the description says “The album contains five reinterpretations of classic favorites as well as five original tunes created exclusively for this project, all sung in English, Hebrew or Ladino (Judaeo-Spanish).”
Lady Sovereign has released a new video for her track “I Got You Dancing.” The video is inspired by the 1979 cult classic “The Warriors” which definitely adds a pretty neat aspect to the video (I had almost completely forgotten that movie existed).
Check out the video after the break. If you like the track you can also download an MP3 for free here, the full album Jigsaw is expected to drop in April of next year.
