Take a moment tip your hat (or, rather, open your wallets) to the Dropkick Murphys (a.k.a., the band with that one song from The Departed)—the Boston-based Celtic punk band has created and released a new T-shirt in the wake of the horrific Boston Marathon bombings, with the profits going to those affected by the attack.

Even though everyone (or just about everyone) in America doesn’t appear to know who the The Stone Roses are, they’re an iconic band in their home country – the U.K. Their reunion meant a lot to the British, especially to documentary filmmaker Shane Meadows (This Is England), who decided to make the four-piece band the main focus of his new film The Stone Roses: Made of Stone. Compared to Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo and Coachella, Outside Lands is like the little sister of musical festivals. The other U.S. fests established themselves in the 90′s or early 2000′s; the San Francisco fest didn’t start until 2008. Normally when Thom Yorke makes a video, it involves him dancing freakishly awesome to one of his new tunes. But the latest piece of visual media coming from the ultra-talented Radiohead frontman is quite different. Yorke got together with his Atoms For Peace bandmate, Nigel Godrich, to give teenage girls love advice. This is not a joke or spoof of any kind. Check out the heart-melting clip below.

Daft Punk has chosen to premiere their highly anticipated new album Random Access Memories a few days early at a country-like show in rural Australia. The event is called Wee Waa and it’ll take place on May 17th. We expect the tiny town of said event’s setting to be overrun by hipsters and cyber ravers come mid-May.
