Iron Man 2 just got another layer of metal slapped onto its shiny red and gold exterior – Tom Morello, who made his name as the blisteringly phenomenal guitarist for Rage Against the Machine only to then attempt to murder rock ‘n roll completely with the horrible, horrible Audioslave, will be contributing to John Debney’s score for the upcoming superhero flick, according to Metal Insider. Amid rampant rumors that Brit-rockers The Darkness will reform in 2009 with their original line up, lead singer/guitarist Justin Hawkins has announced the rise of a new Spinal Tap – inspired group, Hot Leg.

Hot Leg will unleash its brand of new-age classic rock on the world with its debut album, “Red Light Fever,” in January.

With his flawless falsetto, which he refers to as the “Truth Larynx,” Hawkins will lead the new band with help from guitarist Pete Rinaldi, bassist Samuel SJ Stokes and drummer Darby Todd.

acdc AC/DC Moves Over 784,000 Copies of Black Ice

Well, the Wal Mart exclusive release model has worked again. AC/DC released their new album Black Ice last week and in its first week, moved over 784,000 copies.

It seems that the Wal Mart strategy works because AC/DC hasn’t moved that many albums in a long time. The Eagles were the first band to go Wal Mart exclusive with their album and to date, it’s moved over 7 million copies.

AC/DC CD Black Ice Has Been Leaked

bacdclackice yellow08 10 08 AC/DC CD Black Ice Has Been LeakedApparently you just can’t keep a good thing a secret for too later. Apparently their attempts to keep the new AC/DC record a secret have been thwarted.

Sometime last night AC/DC’s “Black Ice” was leaked on one of the BitTorrent sites as well as uploaded to YouTube. This thing is going to spread faster than herpes on prom night, check it out quickly because I’m sure that SonyBMG/Columbia Records are probably freaking out right now and trying to get control over the “situation”. Someone is soooo fired. The album is still two weeks sky of it’s official release date October 20th.
