As if we didn’t have enough of Black Eyed Peas and their long, futursitic-obsessed expensive music videos, Will.I.Am recently told Vibe that he may be working with James Cameron. James Cameron! Please say it ain’t so! As much as we ripped on Avatar, you can’t deny that Titanic and Avatar were GREAT films we will remember forever. However, if he throws Black Eyed Peas into that mix, that is a sure sign that the world is going awry and awry is a complete understatement in this situation.

Reuters reports that global music sales are continuing their steady decline, with worldwide sales dropping an additional 7% in 2009 (the numbers dropped 8% in 2008) to a total of $17 billion. The world’s two largest music markets, the United States and Japan, marked the largest drop in sales, while digital downloads continued to cautiously grow despite wildly rampant illegal downloading.
And the cherry on the cake for yet another miserable year for the music industry? The bestselling record was Susan Boyle’s I Dreamed a Dream, followed by discs by the Black Eyed Peas, Michael Jackson, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga. My goodness—how could the industry possibly be in decline when its top-tier names are such artistic visionaries as a band with Fergie in it?

Apple‘s iTunes has sold it’s 10 billionth song when consumer, 71-year-old Louie Sulcer purchased the Johnny Cash song, “Guess Things Happen That Way,” today. As the 10 billionth consumer, Sulcer has also received a $10,000 gift card from iTunes – an enticing factor which swayed consumers to buy a few more songs than usual this past week.
However, what’s more interesting is the fact that the top most downloaded songs of all time greatly contrast the genre and era of the winner’s choice. Although iTunes was only launched in 2003, the songs that made the top 20 don’t necessarily represent the wide spectrum of music fiends. Take a look below to see what we’re talking about.

Last night was the big night for the music industry. The 52nd Grammy Awards were held in Los Angeles’ Staples Center and everyone from Justin Beiber to Jeff Beck showed up for the special event. Also, like usual, they managed to cram in 16 performances into a three hour show.
Although, we have to admit, with the exception of Lady Gaga, Beyonce, The 3-D Michael Jackson tribute, and Mary J. Blige/Andrea Bocelli duet, the show didn’t live up to the hype last night. Whether you tuned in or missed out last night, we’ve got all the performances for you to watch below!

The time is almost here for viewers who favor the Grammys over the American Music Awards. On January 31, the prestigious music awards will air with many acts who are also nominees. Although nearly two months after the AMAs, will all the performances crammed into three hours trump the ones we saw from Janet Jackson, Jay-Z & Alicia Keys, and Rihanna?
Check the Grammy Awards’ lineup out so far below!

Musicians can’t always do what they want, especially when the locations they are getting paid to play at have strict rules.
The Black Eyed Peas are on top of the charts with their hits, “Boom Boom Pow” and “I Gotta Feeling” and are currently on tour in support of their album, The E.N.D. However, they may be having a little trouble dealing with their audience for an upcoming show next month.
The problem specifically takes place in Malaysia, where they will be stopping by for a show that is sponsored by Irish beer company, Guinness. Although the concert is still open, both the musicians and fans are restricted to a couple of rules.
