Don’t be surprised to find the reviews a little skewed this week. I never thought I’d be compiling The Strokes and Chris Brown together under the worst of the week, but critics have done a pretty equal job trashing on both albums. The reviews look better as we venture into the world of Swedish rock and some oldie-but-goodie tracks that will bring you back to the 1980s.

You could be forgiven for assuming that you’d never hear about Kid Rock again unless he committed some heinous crime (the best way for stars to get back in the limelight!), but the rocker and bad-fashion guru has somehow managed to hold on to enough of a fan base to keep his name relevant. Relevant enough to perform on Vh1′s Super Bowl Fan Jam tonight, February 3, at least.

Coachella has made a name for itself as one of the best music festivals in the world; each year an impossible -to-beat wish list of popular and obscure acts converge to throw a music fan’s dream party. The show returns on April 15, 16 and 17 of this year, and while a full line-up has yet to be confirmed, the rumor mill is already running. According to Billboard, two acts that may show up this year are Duran Duran and The Strokes.

You have to love a freebie from a classic! Duran Duran who are somehow still around and going strong have announced the free release of lead single All You Need Is Now today, December 8, exclusively via iTunes.
The band has made the song available one week earlier than expected due to the increasing demand among their devoted fanbase. The 9-track digital album All You Need Is Now, produced by the Grammy Award-winning Mark Ronson, is due out December 21.
