Fans in Wichita rushed to get tickets for Taylor Swift‘s concert at the Intrust Bank Arena this morning, only to be struck by fate. That’s right, fans who were in line before 9:30 a.m. were given a raffle ticket; tickets were shuffled and if you were lucky, your ticket was drawn. The April 1st show sold out in less than 15 minutes, reports The Wichita Eagle.
Every now and then one must thank iTunes for featuring not only free music, but pretty damned good free music. A few weeks ago, the music service featured a single from one Miss Jazmine Sullivan – “Need U Bad”. The track, produced by and featuring Missy Elliot and Lamb (available for a listen at her official website), is enough sample to show that she has the chops to make it big in an industry with established double-threat hitmakers and powerhouses (i.e. Beyonce, Rihanna, Jennifer Hudson). By launching her talents into this R&B/reggae/rocksteady love song with a vocal ability comparable to Lauryn Hill and Mary J. Blige, Sullivan lets listeners in on a knowing spirit that seemingly reaches beyond her years. Thankfully we won’t have to wait another moment to hear what she has to offer – her debut album, “Fearless” (J Records), is in stores now.
