With all the new music released these days, it’s hard to keep track of what is really good and what is pretty much a toss out. Some of the most major names in the industry are reworking their sound, collaborating, or mundanely creating the same old tune again. We looked at the newest releases coming out over the next couple weeks, and did you the favor of deciding what’s worth it and what’s getting panned in the reviews. I caught Stacy* Clark’s set at The Knitting Factory last week and was so blown away by her performance that I demanded an interview. Clark, a guitar playing singer songwriter, and her band performed a powerful set of guitar-heavy songs and heartfelt melodies from her album, Apples & Oranges. Clark is the Winner of the 2007 Orange County Music Awards for ‘Best Female Performer’ and ‘Best Female Artist’ 2006 Southern California Music Awards. Her music has appeared on the MTV and CBS television networks, and she has appeared on stage with Jacks Mannequin, and the Amsterdams. Thankfully, she took time out to answer a few questions.

Jimmy Eat World will hit the road for a short tour in 2009 to celebrate the the 10th anniversary of their 1999 album Clarity reports Billboard.
The tour will kick off in New York on February 23 and wrap up in the band’s home state in Tempe, AZ on March 7. The band will play Clarity in it’s entirety at each of the shows.
