Because a fan paying $15,000 dollars for his 40-year-old toilet isn’t enough, Yoko Ono is throwing a two-day, all-star bash for her late husband, John Lennon, this October in Los Angeles. Set to be held at the Orpheum Theatre on October 1-2, the We Are Plastic Ono Band concerts will feature the pant-suited and blank-eyed stare of Ono’s caterwauling performing Plastic Ono Band tunes backed by a band featuring her son Sean Lennon, as well as numerous high-profile guest performances.

As we noted last week, John Lennon fandom and Beatlemania continues to the point that even the oddest Fab Four trinket can be sold for a hefty profit if you find the right (or delusional) buyer. Which is why it kind of makes sense that a Lennon fan would be willing to drop $15,500 for a 40-something-year-old toilet once owned – and used, of course – by John Lennon himself. Yup. A toilet.

This weekend marks the 33rd annual Beatles convention in Liverpool, and with it comes the yearly auction of rare Fab Four memorabilia. Everything from rare album pressings to signed items… to John Lennon’s toilet. Yoko Ono fans, break out your pant-suits, fedoras, and eerily emotionless stares–because Ono is storming the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play Charts (sweet, sweet Jesus, this is bad) all the way to number one with the single, “Give Me Something.” It’s a buzzy, synthy remix of her track of the same name from Double Fantasy, Ono’s now classic 1980 collaborative album with her husband, John Lennon.
