Kiss isn’t exactly a band noted for its subtlety or panache—after all, this is the band that markets its own brand of coffins for fans—so it comes a little to no surprise that the band would release a gargantuan (3 feet tall, 2.5 inches wide, weighing 50 pounds) coffee table book of band photos.  What does come as a surprise?  It costs over four grand.  Now that’s a lot, even for shameless whores like Kiss.

Well, the epic news that the entire world has been waiting for on bated breath has finally, finally happened—bizarre hair loss treatment enthusiast and tongue-dangling bassist for KISS, Gene Simmons, has finally tied the knot with his lady love, soft-core porn and reality TV actress Shannon Tweed.  Billboard reports that the two fame whorish gargoyles stars of A&E’s Gene Simmons Family Jewels reality show “tied the knot before 400 guests, including their two children, Nick, 22, and Sophie, 19, at The Beverly Hills Hotel.”

We are totally not above writing about the beautiful minutiae of celebrity weddings. That’s why it’s our pleasure to let you know that rock star Gene Simmons and longtime girlfriend, and former Playmate, Shannon Tweed have finally decided on a wedding date. And that would be Oct. 1 at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the nuptials are scheduled to take place a few days before Simmons’ A&E reality show returns. Nothing like the synergy of love and marriage and reality television.

The inexplicably still-existing rock and roll band Kiss is apparently set to enter a recording studio in March to record their 20^th—count ‘em, 20^th—studio album, with a possible release by the end of 2011, according to NME.   Because, if there was one album the world was clamoring for since the release of Kiss’ 2009 disc, Sonic Boom, it would be for yet another Kiss album that you didn’t even know existed (kinda like the last one).

Well, Kiss fans, there’s good news and there’s bad news: recent assault charges against Kiss bassist/ shamless-just-absolutely-shameless-destroyer-of-all-things-good-in-rock Gene Simmons, in which the long-tongued, allegedly short-fused rock ‘n roller was accused of choking a couple at the Grove mall in Los Angeles for filming him without permission, were dropped on May 26^th for lack of evidence.

That’s your good news, Kiss fans.  The bad?  Looks like Simmons is facing another lawsuit now, this one for sexual harassment/ assault.

But unfortunately for the fire-breathing, Dr. Pepper pushing rock star, he’s been hit with a lawsuit. According to Billboard, Nathan Marlowe and his wife, Cynthia Manzo, are suing the 60-year-old for threatening and assaulting them.

Bloomberg.com reports that not only will there be an album titled, Sonic Boom, which holds 11 new tracks but it comes in a special set that only costs $12! It’s true kids… er folks.

Walmart Stores, Inc., the largest retailer out there – no matter how much you may not like it – will be offering the CD collection with the rock band’s first new music in 11 years and plans to license related merchandise through the group as well.
