There’s something about that new album cover art for the upcoming Weezer album Hurley. Oh right, it’s a close-up photo of actor Jorge Garcia, who played Hugo ‘Hurley’ Reyes in the recently wrapped-up TV series Lost.
Random? Yes. Awesome? You bet. A new high point in album cover art.
Remember in high school when your English teacher would make you write compare and contrast essays? Well, for some reason I always tried to sneak just a comparison paper by her – I hated writing the contrast part. Something about how if two things are inherently different, its more fun to find similarities than to point out the obvious differences. I love comparing books to movies, movies to TV shows, apples to oranges (they’re both round) – hell, whatever comes to mind. This article is aimed at taking my two favorite things in the world and smashing them together: LOST and music.
Coldplay has released a new video for their song Lost+. For the video they take their original video for “Lost” and superimpose Jay-Z’s image onto the screens that are on stage with them during their performance of the song.
Coldplay is currently having a competition for fans to create their own videos for the track. The group is asking for creative original submissions to be uploaded to the YouTube (with URLs emailed to Coldplay). The winner of the competition scores two ultra-VIP tickets to Colplay’s show in London in December complete with backstage passes, airfare and accommodations.
Check out the video featuring Jay-Z after the break:
