Hello BeatCravers! Since it’s Monday, you’re probably stuck at work or school, so here are a few shopping distractions for you. There’s nothing like some new music to get you going, right? Well, we have searched Amazon high and low for the best bargains, and we think we may have found everything you need and for cheap. Below are a bunch of MP3 albums you can buy for only $5, and these aren’t super old albums that nobody wants, some are recent releases with a few classics thrown in the mix.
The infamous electronic duo, MSTRKRFT, are at it again, this time releasing an infectious new version of their single “Bounce” only a month after the release of their highly anticipated second album, Fist of God. All these guys do is party and for this version of the song, they added professional party animal, Pitbull. The Miami rapper spits a verse about his typical parties, “three or four broads and they all like ooooh,” you’ll have to listen to the track for yourself to see where that’s going. If you’re headed to Coachella along with some of our writers, make sure you catch MSTRKRFT closing out Saturday night at the Sahara tent starting at 11PM.
You can listen and download the MP3 “Bounce: feat. N.O.R.E & Isis” and watch the video below…
MSTRKRFT‘s highly anticipated sophomore album, Fist of God, is almost here! With a slew of guest appearances such as Ghostface Killah, E-40, and John Legend, the album drops digitally on March 10th and in stores on March 17th. As of right now, the duo is streaming Fist of God in its entirety on MySpace. Check out their single, “Bounce,” then head over there to see if the rest of the album stacks up.
Will you be purchasing Fist of God? Perhaps you’ll see them live. Check out their upcoming tour dates below!
Well this isn’t exactly a very happy video. They killed the girl! I thought they would go for some kind of humorous spin, but no! She’s dead! With great eye make-up, but dead none the less.
MSTRKRFT’s much awaited second album Fist of God is set for release on 17 March. Members Al-P and Jesse Keeler have kept busy in the two years since debut album The Looks, remixing tracks for Wolfmother, Chromeo, Brazilian Girls, Kylie Minogue, Usher, and John Legend, but are now looking to shake up the electronic house scene with their newest effort.
Keeler, who previously was part of the group Death From Above 1979 with Sebastien Granger, told Remix:
“We were planning this album before we even finished The Looks. We probably started at least 30 tracks. Some of them we ripped apart to make the other songs that we did choose sound better.”

So, the Coachella line up (potential line-up – there could be additions) has officially been posted! From the looks of it, the roster of artists is very spread out in terms of genre, mainstream, and quantity. Friday’s giving us Girl Talk, Morrissey, and the Ting Tings. Saturday’s presenting Dr. Dog, Fleet Foxes, and MSTRKRFT. Then Sunday anticipates Jenny Lewis, No Age, and Vivian Girls…. However, the question is: What is the quality of this line up?
We’ve been hearing mixed reactions to the line-up and some of them have been extremely disapproving or extremely delighted. So we want to know one thing. If you had to choose ONLY ONE DAY out all all three dates, which day would you go to Coachella for?

It’s a new year and that means it’s time for brand new music! Pitchfork has already named Animal Collective’s Meriweather Post Pavillion the first great album of 2009. Does this fact make it hop on top of your list?
Some are highly anticipated because of the wait (Morrissey), some have been hyped up through serious tours (MSTRKRFT), and some are just exciting because you never know which album will include your favorite crass lyric in the future (Lily Allen)!
Take a look at some albums BeatCrave highly anticipates, and let us know what you think!
After touring for most of the year, Canadian electronic duo, MSTRKRFT, are ready to drop their new album, First God, on March 17th of 2009. The album will not be released on Last Gang Records but on Dim Mak records. The album includes remixes of John Legend, Ghostface Killah, and more.
MSTRKRFT is still wrapping a few tour dates up until January. Check out the rest of the dates below!
